I Made a Welcome Video. Yes, it’s Ridiculous.

So, I made a short welcome video to introduce myself and explain what this whole project is about through my own eyes.

It’s a little under four minutes long and covers things like:

  • why rhetoric secretly runs the internet
  • what you’ll find on this site
  • why Soc has laser eyes in my book project

Important philosophical questions. Naturally.

The Energy of This Video

If you’ve spent any time reading my writing, you already know my style sits somewhere between:

  • academic lecture and prose
  • existential rant
  • and extremely online brain rot

The video reflects that.

There are references to rhetorical theory, media culture, persuasion, and the general hooplah of modern communication. It’s intentionally a little dramatic, slightly tongue-in-cheek, and very much in the spirit of this site.

In other words:

It’s educational, but me.

What’s Next

This video is also the beginning of something new for the site.

That being said, I had the brilliant idea of starting to experiment with interactive and multimedia content, which means future posts may include:

  • video essays
  • visual breakdowns of rhetorical theory
  • and possibly more cursed illustrations from Scrolls & Screens.

All spoken from the 3D Plotagon render of myself.

The internet is a rhetorical playground. I might as well use the whole thing.

If you haven’t watched the video yet, go check it out.

And if you survive it, explore the rest of the site.

There’s plenty more strange rhetoric waiting for you.

Until then,

xoxo Cheyenne
